Ali Enache
Ali Enache (b. 1985, Washington, D.C.) is an abstract artist living and working in Los Angeles, California.
Enache’s minimalist abstract work explores the airy and textural qualities of layering diluted acrylics and water on raw canvas. She embraces the volatility of staining techniques and is driven to create perfectly imperfect paintings that radiate subtle, organic elegance. Through the use of sometimes dozens of layers, the diluted paint and water soak the raw canvas, leaving behind stained subtle forms and rich layered compositions. Often inspired by color harmonies found in nature or design, Enache paints with subdued and moody palettes that evoke contemplation. Her work encourages a sense of deep emotion, offering collectors a window into the intensity and depth she feels when painting.
Days Soon Gone
Days Soon Gone is a new body of work by Ali Enache for a solo presentation debuting at Westpark Home (by Katie Monkhouse Interiors) during the Fall 2023. The collection invites the viewer to explore the profound connection between earth’s ancient hues and the ageless spirit within us all. Inspired by the passage of time, the works try to capture the essence of nature’s evolution, invoking elements and landscapes weathered by time. The vintage earth tones serve as a bridge between the past and present, bringing the viewer a sense of comfort and familiarity. It celebrates the wisdom gained over time, acknowledging the inherent beauty in every stain and imperfection.
